If it seems like you constantly have sinusitis and nothing seems to resolve it, you need to read this.

If the doctor diagnosed you with chronic sinusitis and medication doesn’t work, you need to read this.

Our ear, nose and throat doctor and sinus doctors have the solution for you…balloon sinuplasty.

We invite you to learn more…

What is balloon sinuplasty?

Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that opens up the sinus passages. A small, flexible balloon catheter is guided through the nostril into the blocked sinuses. When inflated, the balloon will gently restructure and open the sinus passages. This process restores normal sinus drainage and function.

The procedure is similar in concept to a heart surgeon opening up blocked arteries during a balloon angioplasty procedure.

Who is a good candidate for balloon sinuplasty?

A good candidate for balloon sinuplasty is someone who has sinusitis that has not yet been resolved, or someone who has recurring sinusitis when using traditional medical treatment. The procedure will relieve the pressure and pain that most often accompanies chronic sinusitis.

Does the balloon sinuplasty procedure hurt?

No need to worry…The procedure can be performed safely in office with little to no pain. Our ENT doctors are expertly trained to perform the procedure and they have ample experience.

What about the recovery time after the balloon sinuplasty procedure?

Recovery time is typically 1 to 2 days after the procedure appointment. For instance, if we perform the procedure on a Friday, you can go back to work on Monday.

Is the balloon sinuplasty procedure covered by insurance?

Yes, many insurance companies cover balloon sinuplasty. In fact, prior to the procedure our team will do an insurance benefits check to make sure it is covered under your particular health plan. We’ll also talk to you about your financial responsibility, if any, after insurance covers their part.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us during your appointment or when scheduling.
